This place is a hidden gem! Cute little restaurant with a great menu. Stopped in for breakfast at 2pm (I love places that serve breakfast all day!) The food is flavorful and the staff is attentive. My only disappointment is that the corned beef hash is not homemade, which was misleading on the menu described as "Luis's corned beef hash". The grits were so flavorful they didn't even need salt or butter! Very impressive. I can't wait to try their lunch menu.

Sweetest service. I bring my out of town guests here for the service and delicious comfort food...surprisingly. Don't let the office park or older (and very nice) crowd scare you off. I have never had a bad meal here, and I am picky. The prices are amazingly low for the quality of food

I've wanted to go here for a while, but I've always been kind of ... well.. hesitant. Why? Well, it's kind of non-descript, located in a strip mall. I wasn't sure what to expect. I'm glad I finally went for a breakfast. it's MUCH larger on the inside and many of the folks who go are OBVIOUSLY very much regulars and very much family. There's a lot of love here. The food - I ordered Quiche. I LOVE quiche, and it was tasty. It came with a fruit bowl. I figured that this was going to be a bowl of canned fruit. I was -so- wrong. It was served in a small sundae bowl, but it was FAR from a small serving of fruit. HOLY COW. There were spears of pineapple, honeydew, cantaloupe, strawberries, kiwi, orange and blueberries. It was lot of fruit. I also got 2 meats. I chose one of each a sausage patty and a strip of bacon. It was a LOT of food and it was incredibly inexpensive. Less than $8.00 The husband got himself a Mexican omelette, and he loved it. It had fresh avocado, lots of salsa and cheese, jalapeño and other spicy things, it also came with grits and cantaloupe and a choice of bread.. he chose a pancake.. and it was good. The service was quick and good. We will be back!

Oh my goodness. We just got home from breakfast and I had to write a review. This little hidden gem is delightful. Huge menu with lots of choices, fresh, flavorful food, large portions (we took home enough for dinner tonight and left more than full), great service. Since I left New England I have been desperately searching for a diner type restaurant that truly does great food at great prices. I have finally found the perfect spot after an 8 year search. This is a bustling hot spot in Palm Harbor (at least on Sunday morning). People were waiting in line for tables. That is a huge accomplishment for a restaurant hidden in a strip mall that can barely be seen from US 19. I travel a lot and when I do, I look for the places that are hard to find and FILLED with locals. That is exactly what this place is. Run, don't walk, to this fantastic little restaurant where I believe you can get breakfast all day! I disagree with reviews that this is mostly for retirees. Lots of kids, tweens, teens, families and older folks. This is a great spot for any age and I would be shocked if everyone couldn't find something on the menu to love.

Here's the thing... there are a TON of restaurants here in God's waiting room and most of them serve bland, flavorless food - but not this place! Garden Grill Cafe is our go-to breakfast joint. The food tastes great and the prices are incredibly low. Sure, you're going to have to wait for a table - but it's worth it. The staff is friendly and will happily guide you through the chaos of their dining room. It's packed - mostly with people who were old enough to vote for JFK, but don't worry, they don't bite and they seem to all know each other. I could go on and on about the food since they have an extensive menu but I won't. Bottom line is this - if you come to visit us in sunny Florida and we don't take you out to the Garden Grill Cafe - take a hint, we don't like you very much. :-)

Good place for a reasonable breakfast that is tasty. The atmosphere is geared toward older folks but it's comfortable. Lots of booths in this place. Retirees are the main customers FYI. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our food came out pretty quickly. I got the Popeye omelet with toast and grits. The eggs seemed undercooked but it had good flavor for a healthier option (got the cheese and hollandaise on the side). The toast was typical whole wheat nothing special. The grits were very creamy and good if you like grits. There are a lot of choices for breakfast in the Palm Harbor/Dunedin/Clearwater area that I would choose over this place.

This place used to be my favorite place to go for breakfast. The past few times though have been disappointing. Three times they have been out of something we ordered (type of bread 2x, broccoli for my mom's omelet), and then one time BOTH of our omelets came out wrong. Running out of product and getting the wrong order on both meals the past 4-5 visits- No good. It's a shame- the food and prices used to keep us coming in. Frustrating, probably wont be back!

Loved the Popeye Omelet sitting across from Dream Date. Great combo meal. The potatoe pancakes weren't bad, either. Very clean and nice cafe, a perfect ending for a perfect evening.

This is hands down the best breakfast place in Palm Harbor. My wife and I look forward to our Saturday and Sunday mornings spent eating at this place! The food is delicious, portions are huge, and the prices are very reasonable. The wait staff always seems eager to get you what you need and to top off your coffee cups! We have also dined here for lunch a few times and have had the sandwiches, they are also excellent. Overall, I would agree with others that it is not a super fancy place, but the restaurant is always very homey and is always clean and well kept.

I am so happy that I found a new breakfast place in Palm Harbor. Garden Grill Cafe is just around the corner from me, so I gave it a shot. When we walked in, a few old boys at the counter greeted us and said we could sit anywhere we wanted. These guys were regulars and and not even employees! I thought that was very friendly and a good sign that these guys come here often. We were then greeted by a very friendly waitress, and offered some much needed hot coffee. I ordered the veggie skillet which had pan fried potatoes, mushrooms, onions, peppers, and eggs. It came in a hot, cast iron skillet, and was incredible. The rye toast was freshly baked, and I could tell. Overall, a delicious, hot breakfast and the service was excellent. The chef even came out to say hello to everyone, which I thought was a nice touch. By the way, my wife ordered the veggie omelet, which was HUGE, and her bowl of grits was overflowing. I didn't taste it for the record, but she loved it. Garden Grill Cafe is a quaint, homey restaurant, with a bit of a country flair. Not fancy, very casual, but also clean, and adequately decorated. This is my new breakfast haunt, to be sure!

Nice quaint tacky snow bird restaurant. Love the omelets, not so much the home fries. Coffee is....eh.

This is the best kept secret in Palm Harbor. All of the food is made in-house. I mean they roast their own turkey and bake their own bread! Great food / great service. Is it fancy - no. Is it an excellent value for your hard-earned buck - yes it is. The owner is an immigrant in the old-fashioned sense and he works very hard, as does the rest of the staff - some of which are family members. Try the banana nut crepes or their fruit cup - wow! Even dinners are excellent.

What a wonderful little restaurant. Always drove past it wondering if we should eat here. Finally we stopped and had dinner. It was very nice. The decor is average but the food and service was very good. The dinners all include soup or salad plus two sides and a dessert. Everything was very good and according to the other diners breakfast is their best meal. Needless to say we'll be back to try it.

This little out of the way place could be easily overlooked in the strip mall location that it occupies. It's not fancy, it's not trendy, but it is good eats for a home-cooked type basic breakfast. The food came out quickly, the staff were friendly and quick to take our order.

I cannot say enough great things about this restaurant. They are hidden back in a little mini mall. It is one of Palm Harbor's best kept secrets. The restaurant stays crazy busy and is full of regulars. The food tastes amazing and the prices are great. The service is excellent. The servers stay busy and I mean busy. If you want great food and good laughs this is your place. If you want relaxation then I suggest the cheesecake. Haha

This is one of my favorite places to eat!! Most items are made homemade. Great French Dip w/ real french fries. Onions rings also made fresh, not frozen. Great food at great prices. Only bad thing is sometimes there a line of people waiting to get in the door, but that just shows its worth the wait!!

I just love this place, the food is always amazing! My husband and I only ever had one issue and it was quickly fixed. I love it how the staff likes to get to know me and the hubby! They seem to know a lot about their customers, I love seeing the same faces, once you eat here you'll keep coming back! Western Skillet is amazing! The homemade bread and chips rock!
